our sunday in pasadena can be summarised by these two photos :)
lunch at le pain quotidien and then amazing icecream at carmela. the service at carmela was top-notch and the icecream? quite possibly the best i have ever had. salted caramel and real chocolate syrup! yum!

and here's the finished collage! in a funny sort of way i like the first random assortment of items rather than the finished piece but it feels great to be working with scissors + glue again. hope you're having a great weekend!

inspiration alchemy
inspiration is often found in the most random of places. the highlighted piece above, "the alchemy of contrasting proportions and textures..." from the latest issue of lucky magazine has been stuck in my mind all weekend. i can't wait to see how it manifests in my latest designs. p.s. how cute are those 'ignore proof' stickers that come along with the magazine?
