i've decided to keep the diana travel series going but branching out to different countries i've visited diana camera in hand. this week i'm going riiiiiiight back to the beginning with possibly the first self portrait i ever took. i love that it's blurry but you can still make out my favorite karen walker t-shirt. awkward and unplanned how well it coordinates with the camera! ha.

a little something different today for diana travels; i thought i'd share a couple of art prints i created with scenes from diana photos, for the latest minted art challenge.
first up is some beautiful buildings we saw in carcassonne, and underneath is the art print it inspired

in the middle of our lancaster experience, we decided a trip to san diego was in order so we met megan and jason for a long weekend. scott chose a hotel close to old town, which turned out to be the perfect mix of modern and well, old. we even got free breakfast and a bath tub that didn't drain; funny the things that stick in your mind.

the lomography store in west hollywood was beyond inspiring for me and my photography. the staff are super friendly, and it was a great place to spend a little time before we headed out to dinner. and by dinner, i think it was probably mcdonalds. again.

we hired an apartment in hermosa beach for a week while scott was on a helicopter course in long beach. after the craziness of sunset boulevard, hermosa was a welcome sight! i spent my mornings walking along the beach and during the heat of the day, curled up with a magazine in their public library.

my minted popsicle design made an appearance on pinterest - i cannot wait to see them printed up :)
i also did an interview as part of astrid's 'why i shoot film' feature...
and i've signed up for the elevated envelope project (you should too, entries don't close until the 17th of Feb)
we've got a long weekend coming up so i'm looking forward to a bit of time away from a screen; we have a walk planned and lots of diana film to shoot!
