while in new york megan and i were lucky enough to stumble upon the upper rust (with such fantastic neighbors as pink olive and cloak and dagger) a beautiful antique store. i picked up a vintage drawer which just so happens to be the perfect size to store my ribbon and washi tape stash. finally, a souvenir that doesn't gather dust ;)
don't you love the friday of a long weekend?
here's a couple of things that are brightening up my day!
my new madewell shirt - a definite departure from my usual style but it's fitting into my wardrobe so well, i'm wondering what other gems i'm missing out on!
all things linda & harriett, check out the winners of the paper quilt contest!!
and finally, we're heading up to auckland tonight to pick up my NEW CAR! eek, very exciting! hoping to visit the department store while we're there...
fireworks in wellington and my new mmmg planner
these nautical-stripe-summer favor bags were just too pretty to pass up on a recent trip to the amazing urbanic paper boutique in venice beach. i spent nearly an hour looking at all of the beautiful goodies and quietly calculating how much extra i could try and cram into terence (my faithful suitcase)! let's just say i was very responsible and only left with a couple of beautiful cards, a notebook for my internship designs, favor bags and the latest issue of uppercase magazine. if you're ever in LA, urbanic is too good to miss!
so this post started out with me raving about these year in review cards (no mean feat as i'm always promising something like this and never delivering january 1st). imagine getting these lovelies in the mail!
but then the more i looked through amanda's blog the more inspired i got... head on over to see more of her style, inspiration and beautiful photographs.
listening to: rihanna 'what's my name'
dreaming of: this beautiful trenery dress - 100% silk and 25% off today!! except i can't seem to reset my password to log-in for cardholder discounts... sigh
this time tomorrow: we'll be in auckland
hoping: the traffic is kind
planning on: visiting the department store this sunday
