I loved putting this mini book together - adding in tickets, tags and random pieces from our weekend was super easy, good to get something started and with the arrival of my photos, FINISHED too :)

The cover is made from a Jigsaw catalogue, it's a gorgeous navy, textured card...
And inside...

The brochure at the back of the book is from an exhibition we went to called HAPTIC. The term 'haptic' means relating or pleasant to the sense of touch. "While dealing with shape, colour, material and texture is one of the most important aspects of design, there is one more: it's not the question of how to create, but how to make someone sense something." The highlight of the trip for me and a welcome reassurance & experience of how much inspiration and a sense of alive-ness (if that is such a word!) I gain from art and design :)
And also from words such as 'Passementerie' - the art of making elaborate trimmings or edgings (in French, passements) of applied braid, gold or silver cord, embroidery, colored silk, or beads for clothing or furnishings. Look out for some ribbon inspired goodness soon :)
