here are the two minibooks i created - and decorated the inside pages with a mix of thickers, patterned paper (mostly from studio calico), machine stitching and photos (from megan's instagram, my digital camera and my diana f+ camera).

june 2012, i travelled to the other side of the world to visit one of my dearest friends, megan and help her prep for the national stationery show. a trip like this was begging to be recorded to give all those memories a home, so a couple of months ago i sat down at my desk surrounded by piles of paper and printed photos and created two books. one for our time in minneapolis, the other new york.
this is seriously the first time in months that i felt inspired enough to bust out the sewing machine, patterned paper, blast 8tracks and create! i'll share a few of my favourite pages over the coming week.

wow, it's been a while since i've blogged. but today i read this post by holly of decor8 and decided this is my space, and sometimes the inspiration comes thick and fast. and other times, i'm neck deep in work and something has to give. today i wanted to share a page from my inspiration/to-do list/worry list notebook. seriously, this notebook has helped me manage my anxiety, get organized and plan out new goals! the awesome power of a to-do list :)

Here's the finished logo I designed for my friend Jess who has started creating and selling a beautiful range of patterned ceramic hearts (see the inspiration board here). Sometimes designing for people you know can be a recipe for disaster but Jess was a dream to work with. I created a range of collateral including business cards, teeny tiny circle tags and thank you cards (pictured earlier in the week).
